Today is a full-day scenic leisure drive from Rishikesh to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal.

We will leave the Himalayan foothills behind and travel across northern India, watching the landscape shift once again. This will be a long travel day, but it also gives us a chance to rest, talk, listen to music, look out the window, and let the trip transition from mountains and river life into Mughal history and one of the most famous monuments on Earth.

We will arrive in Agra in the evening and have dinner at a restaurant with a view of the Taj Mahal.

We will not fully see it until tomorrow morning, but tonight we get the anticipation. The Taj is waiting.
