An India ADVENTURE??? You bet! We’re doing India the way only 1000 Treks can. Yes, we’ll see the must-see Taj Mahal. Yes, we’ll explore Delhi. But we’re also adding plenty of adventure, culture, and unforgettable, off-the-beaten-path places and experiences. This isn’t touristy India… This is 1000 Treks India!

Here are some of the highlights:

– Travel to Varanasi, Delhi, McLeod Ganj, Amritsar, Ranthambore National Park, Agra, Rishikesh, and Jaipur.

– Tour Delhi, India’s capital and one of the most intense cities in the world.

– Of course, see the must-see landmarks, such as the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

– Visit Varanasi, the holiest city in India, where we will witness some of the most famous Hindu rituals, such as the Ganga Aarti ceremony.

– See some of India’s most famous temples, such as Sri Harmandir Sahib, which is built of marble and plated with actual 24-karat gold; Kashi Vishwanath Temple; and the Dalai Lama Temple Complex.

– Visit the official residence of the Dalai Lama.

– Stay several nights in the Himalayas, and hike and camp (glamp) in the mountains.

– Witness the Wagah-Attari border ceremony, a powerful and theatrical military tradition full of patriotic energy, ceremonial pageantry, and symbolic rivalry.

– Go on four tiger safaris to see Bengal tigers in the wild at Ranthambore National Park.

– Visit Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga. And yes, those who practice yoga will have the chance to take a class there.

– Go whitewater rafting on the Ganges River! Yup, you read that correctly!

Swim in the Ganges River in the Himalayas, where the water is clean and you can safely swim in India’s holiest river.

– Visit the Beatles Ashram.

– Experience Holi, the famous Hindu festival of colors, love, and spring, where we sprinkle colorful powder on each other.

As always, I’m pre-announcing the trip so you guys can put your names on the “Wanna Go!” list and get first dibs on registration and the early-bird discount.

I’ve been working really hard to get everything ready by the week of July 6 because I’m having shoulder surgery and want to have everything ready before the procedure. My goal is to open the trip for deposits that week, but if that doesn’t happen, it will be ready the following week for sure.

So, put your name on the “Wanna Go!” list and keep your eyes peeled!
