All right, I decided to go all out and go crazy on this one (as I often do! 😂) and make this another insanely amazing trip.

Initially, we were going to Seychelles only, and that alone would have been phenomenal, but since it’s a long flight and we will be in the Western Indian Ocean, I decided to make this a legendary trip: we are going to start with Mauritius, which is easier to get to, and then go to Seychelles afterward. It will be a little longer than our usual one-week Thanksgiving trips (and you can keep it to one week if you need to), but it will be 1000% worth it!

DAY 1- SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21: ARRIVAL | FREE DAY

Bienveni dan Moris! Welcome to Mauritius!

Our flights arrive early in the morning. After a long flight, you deserve a nice, chill day by the beach. We will be transferred to our hotel right on the beach and have a relaxed day. Flic en Flac is a perfect, paradisiacal beach: miles and miles of white sand, calm, crystal-clear warm water protected by the reef, making it the perfect place to relax, swim, rent a paddleboard or kayak, and just chill for the whole day. Heck, you could just chill here for the whole week and be perfectly happy! We’ll take it easy, go for a walk on the beach, sit by the pool and have a drink, maybe get a massage at the hotel, and just unwind. We have several very active and fun days ahead of us!

Oh, by the way, Flic en Flac is a west-facing beach. And guess what sets in the west??? That’s right, for the next 8 days, we will get to see the sun setting every day right in the ocean. It’s a hard job, but some of us have to do it…😎

Our hotel is also centrally located in Flic en Flac, so in the evening, we can go for a stroll around town and have dinner as a group.

Accommodations: Aanari Hotel & Spa
Meals: N/A

DAY 2- SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22: SWIMMING WITH DOLPHINS | ECO RIDE SAFARI | WALK WITH LIONS | RHINO ENCOUNTER | GIRAFFE EXPERIENCE

OK, we have rested enough. This morning we are going for a little swim. Yeah, with dolphins! We are going to get on a speedboat and sail to a colony of dolphins in their natural habitat, and go swimming with them! Talk about starting a dream trip with a bang! This is one of the few places on the entire planet where you can do this!

We’ll then come back to our paradise beach and can either chill for the rest of the day or go to Casela Nature Park, where we can go on an eco-rider safari, and have animal encounters like walking with lions (that’s right!), feeding rhinos, and interacting with giraffes!

Accommodations: Aanari Hotel & Spa
Meals: Breakfast

DAY 3- MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23: UNDERWATER WATERFALL FLIGHT

Continuing with our out-of-this-world activities, today we’ll have the chance to see one of the most incredible natural phenomena on the planet: the underwater waterfall. The underwater waterfall is the kind of place that makes you say, “OK, that cannot possibly be real.” Off the coast of Le Morne, the ocean looks like it is tumbling into a giant waterfall beneath the surface, as if someone pulled the plug on the Indian Ocean. It is actually a stunning optical illusion, created by currents sweeping sand and silt over the edge of the underwater shelf. But whether it is an illusion or not, the sight is absolutely unreal. The colors are insane: bright turquoise, glowing aqua, and deep sapphire blue, all swirling together in one of the most spectacular sights you will ever lay eyes on!

To make this even more special, we will fly over it on a seaplane. If you have never been on a seaplane, that alone is a super cool experience, taking off from and landing on the water!

Although the flight itself is only 15 minutes, with two people per flight, we will dedicate the whole day to it so that we can stay flexible in case of weather or visibility issues.

Accommodations: Aanari Hotel & Spa
Meals: Breakfast

DAY 4- TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24: LE MORNE BRABANT HIKE

Today we have a challenging and beautiful optional hike. Widely considered one of the most beautiful hikes in Mauritius, this fun and demanding trek will take us to the top of a basaltic monolith, with incredible views of Mauritius’s southwest coast, including the underwater waterfall. Le Morne Brabant is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its immense historical significance as a refuge for runaway slaves in the 18th and early 19th centuries.

Accommodations: Aanari Hotel & Spa
Meals: Breakfast

DAY 5- WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 25: CHAMAREL SEVEN COLORED GEOPARK | WATERFALL ZIPLINE | ATV SAFARI

Today we will head to the south of the island to see yet another unique gem of Mauritius: Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark. With its naturally colored sand dunes in shades of red, purple, brown, yellow, and blue, this surreal landscape looks almost too wild to be real. Created by volcanic activity, it is one of those places that feels part science, part magic, and 100% worth seeing.

While we are in the south, we will also visit Vallé Advenature Park, where we can zipline over a waterfall, go on an ATV safari, and try other fun activities like the Bicycle Zipline (yup!) and Mountain Luge Kart.

Accommodations: Aanari Hotel & Spa
Meals: Breakfast

DAY 6- THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 26: SEVEN CASCADES HIKE | THANKSGIVING SEGA SHOW AND CREOLE DINNER

We’ll start the day with another super fun, moderate hike. This time, we will go to Tamarind Falls, also known as the Seven Cascades. One of Mauritius’s most stunning natural wonders, Tamarind Falls is a beautiful series of waterfalls set in a lush tropical gorge, surrounded by volcanic rock, dense greenery, and natural pools. Wild, scenic, and refreshingly off the beaten path, it is a perfect reminder of the island’s adventurous side.

Then, at night, since it’s Thanksgiving, we will have a special celebration: an authentic Mauritian Sega show and Creole dinner. Sega is a dance that originated from the ritual music of Madagascar and mainland Africa, and it is the musical expression of the Mauritian way of life: joy and liveliness. We will watch the show while enjoying an authentic Mauritian Creole dinner for Thanksgiving. *

Accommodations: Aanari Hotel & Spa
Meals: Breakfast

* We were not able to include the cost of the dinner in the price of the trip because we need to finalize the group before we can schedule it, and we may also have to pay for it on-site.

DAY 7- FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27: MANGROVE KAYAKING | BEACH HORSEBACK RIDING AND HORSE SWIMMING

And this trip just keeps getting more amazing! Today, we have the option of going kayaking on the east coast of Mauritius. But we are not just kayaking on the ocean, we are also kayaking through mangroves, making this a true kayaking adventure!

Once we are done with that, we can go horseback riding. But not just any horseback riding — we will ride on the beach, right by the ocean. And we will not just stay on the sand: we will actually get to take our horses into the water and swim with them! Again, this is one of the few places in the world where we can safely do this…

Accommodations: Aanari Hotel & Spa
Meals: Breakfast

DAY 8- SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28: CATAMARAN OUTING

For our last full day in magical Mauritius, we’re going out in style: on a magical catamaran sail over those unreal turquoise waters. We’ll visit a pristine sandy island, say hi to our dolphin friends again, maybe even swim with them one more time, go snorkeling, and soak in the pure peace of being carried by the wind across the ocean. It’s that wonderful feeling of having nowhere to be except exactly where we are. The kind of day that feels almost too good to be real, and the perfect grand finale for an unforgettable trip. And somehow, the day still isn’t over: we’ll be back at the hotel early enough to catch one more spectacular sunset and enjoy one last dinner together.

Accommodations: Aanari Hotel & Spa
Meals: Breakfast

DAY 9- SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29: FREE DAY

As luck would have it, there are no flights from Mauritius to Seychelles on Sunday. So we are going to have to make a sacrifice and spend one more day in Mauritius. Darn it! 😂 One more day to do any of the activities we want, or that we might have missed; one more day to visit somewhere we didn’t get to visit; or one more day to simply chill by the beach and get ready for the Seychelles part, which is going to be a little more slow-paced and beach-focused. Hard life…

Accommodations: Aanari Hotel & Spa
Meals: Breakfast

DAY 10- MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30: FREE MORNING | AFTERNOON FLIGHT TO SEYCHELLES | FREE EVENING IN SEYCHELLES

Our flight is at 4:30 PM, so we will have a free morning at our hotel and leave right after lunch.

We’ll arrive in Seychelles at 7:30 PM and should be at our hotel by 9:00 PM. Our hotel is centrally located in Beau Vallon, so we’ll check in, leave our luggage in our rooms, and go for a stroll on the beach. Our hotel has five restaurants if we want to have dinner there, or we can find a place along the beach.

Our stay in Seychelles is going to be beach- and ocean-centered, and at a more chill pace than Mauritius. Not boring chill, because we don’t do boring! But just a little more relaxed for the final days of our dream vacation.

Accommodations: Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino
Meals: Breakfast

DAY 11 – TUESDAY, DECEMBER 1: SCUBA DIVING | DISCOVER SCUBA | FREE BEACH AFTERNOON

Our first full day in Seychelles is all about the ocean.

For our certified divers, today we will have the option of going scuba diving in the beautiful waters of Seychelles. And for those who are not certified, this is your chance to do something really cool: a Discover Scuba experience, where you will get a closely supervised introduction to diving and have the opportunity to do a dive with an instructor. So whether you are already a diver or have always wanted to see what it feels like to breathe underwater, today is your day.

Then, after our underwater adventures, we will have the rest of the day free to enjoy beautiful Beau Vallon Beach. We can relax on the sand, go for a swim, take it easy, and just enjoy the fact that we are in yet another ridiculous tropical paradise. And of course, at the end of the day, we can watch the sunset, go for a stroll, and head out to dinner together.

Accommodations: Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino
Meals: Breakfast

DAY 12– WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 2: BEAU VALLON BEACH DAY | OPTIONAL WATER SPORTS

Today is all about fun in the sun, 1000 Treks style.

We will spend the day at beautiful Beau Vallon Beach, one of the most famous beaches in Seychelles, with plenty of time to swim, relax, and enjoy the warm Indian Ocean. But for those who want to kick things up a notch, this is also the perfect day for some classic tropical fun, with optional water sports that may be available right on or near the beach, such as jet skis, banana rides, tubing, and other ocean activities depending on conditions and availability that day.

So whether you want to go full action mode or just chill by the water with a drink in your hand, today is about enjoying Seychelles the way Seychelles should be enjoyed: beach, ocean, sunshine, and fun.

And then, in the evening, we can do what is becoming our specialty on this trip: watch another spectacular sunset and go out for dinner together.

Accommodations: Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino
Meals: Breakfast

DAY 13- THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3: LA DIGUE ISLAND | PRASLIN ISLAND | ANSE SOURCE D’ARGENT | ANSE LAZIO

Today we’re going island-hopping in true Seychelles style.

We’ll set out for a full day exploring two of the country’s most beautiful and iconic islands: La Digue and Praslin. First up is dreamy La Digue, a place where life moves slower, the scenery gets even more ridiculous, and everything somehow feels a little more magical. With its laid-back island charm, dazzling beaches, and those famous giant granite boulders scattered along the coast, La Digue is the kind of place that makes you immediately understand why people fall in love with Seychelles.

We’ll visit L’Union Estate, one of the island’s most well-known landmarks, and then head to the legendary Anse Source d’Argent, one of the most beautiful and most photographed beaches in the world. And once you see it, you’ll understand why. With its surreal granite rock formations, powdery white sand, shallow turquoise water, and that unreal tropical glow that almost looks Photoshopped, this place barely feels real. It is pure Seychelles fantasy brought to life.

Then we’ll continue on to Praslin, where we’ll get to experience yet another side of this island paradise. We’ll visit the famous Vallée de Mai, a lush and mysterious palm forest so unique and otherworldly that it feels like something out of a lost-world movie. And then, because apparently Seychelles just loves showing off, we’ll also make our way to stunning Anse Lazio, another jaw-dropping beach that is often considered one of the best in the world.

This will be one of those days where you just keep looking around and thinking, “How is this place even real?” Beautiful islands, unreal beaches, turquoise water, tropical scenery everywhere you look, and some of the most iconic spots in all of Seychelles… this is exactly what this part of the trip is all about.

Accommodations: Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino
Meals: Breakfast

DAY14- FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4: ANSE MAJOR BEACH | WATER TAXI | FREE AFTERNOON

For our last full day in Seychelles, we’ll head to stunning Anse Major, a secluded beach that feels like the kind of place you discover and immediately want to stay forever. To make the day even more fun, we’ll get there by water taxi, cruising along the coast before arriving at this gorgeous hidden bay with its clear water, dramatic scenery, and wonderfully peaceful feel. This is the perfect kind of day for swimming, snorkeling, relaxing on the beach, and just soaking in the beauty of Seychelles one more time.

Then, after enjoying our time at Anse Major, we’ll head back and have the rest of the afternoon free. You can relax at the hotel, enjoy Beau Vallon Beach again, go for one more swim, do a little souvenir shopping, or simply sit back and appreciate the fact that we somehow ended up in yet another absurdly beautiful corner of the world.

And of course, in the evening, we’ll do what this trip has taught us to do very well: watch one more spectacular sunset, go out for one more nice dinner together, and enjoy our final night in the islands.

Accommodations: Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino
Meals: Breakfast

DAY 15- SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5: FREE DAY UNTIL DEPARTURE

If you are coming with us, our flight leaves in the morning. If you are going back directly to the U.S., your flight leaves a lot later in the day, so you will have a full morning, and up until late in the afternoon to enjoy one more day in paradise! You will have to check out by 11:00 AM, but you can leave your luggage with the hotel, and enjoy the beach and the pool for the day. Not a bad way to end a magical trip!
